Her DPhil thesis examines Shakespeare performances on the Dublin stage (1698–1801), exploring how theatre contributed to cultural identity in Ireland’s pre-Union political landscape. She investigates the 'circum-national' theatrical networks connecting London, Dublin, and regional playhouses, analyzing how performances shaped national and cultural definitions.

Prior to academia, she worked in theatre and television as an assistant director, script editor, and dramaturg, with a focus on literary adaptations and historic theatre spaces like Shakespeare’s Globe and Smock Alley Theatre.
Research interests include queer performance, memory studies, and the concept of 'classic' works. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects, co-convening the Queer Intersections Network at TORCH and co-hosting the Practice Makes podcast for TORCH’s Reimagining Performance Network. She also serves as a Junior Teaching Fellow at the Ashmolean Museum.
