Madeleine Poole

Madeleine Poole is a Predoctoral Instructor of French and graduate student in the Department of French & Italian Studies at the University of Washington, within the College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a B.A. in Multi-Language Major (French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese) with a minor in Educational Studies from St. Lawrence University (2013). Her research interests span 17th/18th-century literature, children's literature, drama, folklore, Francophone studies, and French history.

Teaching Experience: She served as a teaching assistant at Lycée Aristide Briand (Académie de Rouen) through the TAPIF program, assisting in English language instruction. She has also participated in intensive language programs at Middlebury and McGill University.

Professional Affiliations: Currently based in Seattle, she contributes to the UW French & Italian Studies department and engages in polyglot activities, cultural studies, and teaching.
