Maddy Millar

Maddy Millar is a Researcher at the University of Lancaster School of Law, working on the project "Trial by gender? Examining jury decision making in cases of rape and sexual abuse involving male victims" alongside Dr Siobhan Weare and Dr Dominic Willmott. Her work bridges Psychology and Law, using mixed methods to analyze juror behavior.

• Education: BSc Hons in Psychology (2015-2018), MRes in Psychology (2019-2020), PhD in Law (2021-2024)

Her research focuses on threat perception in criminal trials, juror attitude dynamics, and diversity's impact on decision-making norms. She has presented empirical mock-jury studies at national/international conferences.

Recent article explores guilt determinations in sexual offenses against male victims through systematic review methodology.
