Macy Dunklin

Macy Dunklin is a PhD candidate and lecturer at Texas A&M University, affiliated with the Department of Communication and the Texas A&M Writing Center. They hold a B.A. in German Language and Culture Studies and an M.A. in English (Linguistics) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Their research focuses on queer sexuality, online education, and consumer culture within sexually-oriented businesses. Current roles include managing the Write Line program and Canvas Resources page in the Writing Center, with a focus on graduate student professional development.

Research Interests

Explores intersections of sexuality, consumption, and digital spaces through queer frameworks. Current projects analyze sex education in adult industries and the role of material culture in queer knowledge production. Advocates for inclusive pedagogical practices in writing centers and STEM communication.

Recent Work

Publishes at the nexus of social media activism and queer media studies, with upcoming work on feminist readings of pop culture and ethnographic studies of sex toy retail spaces.
