Professor Maciej Urbaniak is a distinguished faculty member at the Department of Logistics within the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz. Holding the prestigious title of Professor in Economic Sciences awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland in 2011, he has been a core academic at the university since 1999 and maintains active teaching and research responsibilities.
His educational foundation includes:
- Master's degree from Poznań University of Economics (1994)
- Doctoral degree in Economic Sciences from Poznań University of Economics (1997)
- Habilitation in Economic Sciences approved by the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Academic Titles (2004)
Professor Urbaniak's research expertise centers on critical aspects of modern supply chain operations. His scholarly work systematically examines how quality, environmental, and safety management systems integrate within complex supply networks. He has made significant contributions to understanding process improvement methodologies like Lean Management and Six Sigma specifically applied to logistics contexts. His investigations into B2B procurement processes and emerging logistics trends have positioned him as a thought leader in his field.
