Maciej Pabich

Maciej Pabich is a University Professor at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, serving as Head of the Department of Piano Chamber Music within the Institute of Instrumental Studies. He also teaches piano at the J. Kaliszewski General Secondary Music School in Poznan.

His education includes:

Professor Pabich's research and artistic interests focus on piano performance, chamber music, and the rediscovery of forgotten Polish compositions from the 18th and 19th centuries, particularly polonaises. He has dedicated recent years to unearthing and performing these historical works, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Polish musical heritage, with an emphasis on historical performance practice and musicological exploration.

• Prize at the Young Artists Stage of the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk (1997)

Professor Pabich actively mentors students who achieve laurels in national and international competitions. He significantly contributes to music education through nationwide methodological seminars, workshops for teachers and students, master class lectures, and jury participation in major piano competitions across Poland and internationally.

He forms the Paderewski Piano Duo with his wife Renata Pabich, performing two-piano repertoire spanning baroque to contemporary eras in Poland and major European cultural centers.
