Machteld N. Hylkema

Dr. Machteld Hylkema is an Associate Professor at the University of Medical Center Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences, Department of Pathology and Medical Biology. With expertise in immunology, epigenetics, and lung pathogenesis, she leads research on asthma and COPD, focusing on maternal environmental influences and epigenetic mechanisms. She co-authored over 110 publications and secured €2.5 million+ in research funding.
