Mac Loftin

Mac Loftin is a Lecturer on Theology at Harvard Divinity School and a PhD candidate in the Study of Religion at Harvard University. He earned his BA in Philosophy and Classics & Religion from Boston University in 2015 and completed his MDiv at Harvard Divinity School in 2018.

Loftin's research centers on the intersection of Christian theology and political thought, with particular focus on far-right nationalisms throughout the twentieth century and contemporary movements. His scholarly work investigates how theological concepts of sacrament, incarnation, Christology, ecclesiology, and salvation are appropriated and transformed during political crises.
