Mac Burgess

Mac Burgess serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Sciences & Plant Pathology within Montana State University's College of Agriculture. He directs Towne's Harvest Garden—a student-run organic vegetable farm—and teaches core courses in field crop production, vegetable systems, plant nutrition, and soil fertility management, emphasizing active student engagement through hands-on farm operations.

His educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Ecology and Environmental Sciences from Montana State University (2012), an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Ohio University (2006), and a B.S. in Physical Science from Humboldt State University (2003).
