Mabrouk NEKAA is a Lecturer in Education and Training Sciences and Director of the Department of Education and Training Sciences at Jean Monnet University in Saint-Étienne. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Sciences from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, focusing on nurses in national education and their practices in health promotion. His research integrates educational sciences, public health, and sociology, emphasizing school-based health promotion, professional practices, and adolescent health behaviors.
His key research areas include health education strategies, addiction prevention among adolescents, evaluation of health prevention systems, and social inequalities in health. Current projects involve the DILEMME-SSES initiative (2024–2026) addressing addictive behaviors in youth and the REACT project (2023) improving e-literacy in vulnerable populations.
Over 30 publications span peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, with recent focuses on tobacco/e-cigarette use trends in pregnant women and adolescents, health literacy among students, and digital health influences. He collaborates with institutions like INCA, IRePS, and European networks.
Professional training includes a Master’s in Education & Public Health and an Interuniversity Diploma in Human Sexuality. He previously served as a Technical Nurse Advisor in the Loire Academic Inspectorate, contributing to national education health policies.
