Miranda Walichowski is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University. She holds a Ph.D. (2007), M.Ed. (2002), and B.S. (1997) from Texas A&M University. Her teaching focuses on bilingual education, ESL methods, and teacher preparation, including courses like BILING&DUAL LANG METHOD and EFFECT INSTR HISP STUDNT.
Her research interests span bilingual education program development, EFL pedagogy, and undergraduate research mentorship. Notable work includes a 2017 study on undergraduate research best practices and a 2016 cross-cultural analysis of storytelling's impact on EFL students' oral performance.
Walichowski has led/co-led research projects totaling over $25k in funding, including the Instructional Coaching & Leadership Endorsement Program (2016-2018). She received the 2017 EPSY UG Student Mentoring Award for her teaching impact. Leadership roles include Chair of UG Program Admissions Committee and Co-Chair of the CCBD National Publications Committee.
Her service contributions include mentoring bilingual education students and coordinating certification programs through Texas Education Agency partnerships. She has published in venues ranging from academic journals like Asian Journal of Education and Training to popular media like Society Diaries.
