MARINE MISKARYAN

Marine Miskaryan is a linguist and educator with permanent faculty affiliation at Sapienza University of Rome and adjunct roles at multiple institutions. She holds a permanent contract as a Collaborator and Linguistic Expert in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at Sapienza since 2008, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Linguistic-Cultural Mediation. Concurrently, she serves as a Contract Lecturer in the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation at UNINT Free University for the Russian Language and Translation program since 2006. Previously, she was a Collaborator at Ca' Foscari University of Venice (2001-2008) and held a Contract Professorship in Linguistic-Cultural Mediation at Sapienza's Faculty of Humanities (2004-2007).

Her formal education includes a degree with honors from Yerevan State University (Russian Language and Literature) and numerous specialized certifications: Postgraduate studies at Rome’s Institute of Russian Culture and Language (2002), refresher courses at Moscow’s Pushkin Institute (2008), and methodology courses from Tomsk State University (2016) and SPGU (2003). She also completed literary translation training (Russian-Italian/Italian-Russian) in Rome (2015-2016).

Research interests focus on Russian linguistics, pedagogical methods for teaching Russian as a foreign language, and cultural mediation between Slavic and Mediterranean contexts. She is a native speaker of Russian and Armenian, with advanced proficiency in Italian and French, and working proficiency in English and Polish.
