María Esther Baños García is an Associate Professor at the Higher Polytechnic School, Universidad de Burgos, affiliated with the Department of Graphic Expression. She earned her PhD from Universidad de Burgos in 2014 with a thesis titled Diseño y evaluación de una aplicación multimedia interactiva adaptada a jóvenes y/o adultos con discapacidad intelectual para su integración a la independencia domiciliaria, supervised by Dr. Fernando Lezcano Barbero and Dr. Juan Alfredo Jiménez Eguizábal.
Her research spans engineering graphics, 3D printing, assistive technologies for intellectual disabilities, inclusive education methodologies, and cultural heritage communication. She integrates technical engineering approaches with social inclusion objectives.
She actively contributes to three research groups:
- InInGrIm3D (Research in Engineering Graphics and 3D Printing)
- EDINTEC (Education, Inclusion and Technology)
- CAYPAT (Communication and Cultural Heritage Promotion)
