MARIA CONCEPCION CARRATALA MUNUERA

Maria Concepcion Carratala Munuera serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at Miguel Hernandez University of Elche's Faculty of Medicine. She holds multiple administrative roles including Chair Secretary for Family Medicine and Community Medicine/Reproductive Health chairs, Secretary of the Primary Care Research Center, and Associate Dean for Nursing Bachelor's programs.

Her research focuses on Family Medicine and Primary Health Care systems, with specific expertise in Clinical Pathology, Translational Research methodologies, and Cardiometabolic disease studies through the Valencian Cardiometabolic Research Group. She emphasizes evidence-based clinical decision-making and preventive health promotion across community settings.

Professor Carratala Munuera teaches core courses in Family and Community Medicine, Primary Care rotations, and Clinical Pathology across Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing undergraduate programs. She leads methodology instruction in seven Master's programs including Primary Health Care Research and Clinical Medicine Research, covering systematic reviews, qualitative research, questionnaire validation, and scientific publication writing.

As Secretary of the Primary Care Research Center and member of the Valencian Cardiometabolic Study group, she bridges clinical practice with academic research. Her administrative leadership extends to curriculum development for Nursing programs and coordination of research methodology training across multiple graduate degrees.
