Dr. M. Stanley Whittingham is a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Binghamton University, State University of New York. He is renowned for his pioneering work in the development of lithium-ion batteries, which earned him the 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. In 2022, he participated in the 42nd Annual Derby Lecture Series at the University of Louisville (UofL), delivering both a technical lecture and a general audience talk on his groundbreaking work.
