M. Jane Erwin

Jane Erwin (aka Jane Erwin Hammett) is a prominent voice faculty member at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) and Sonoma State University. She specializes in performance wellness, sound healing, and musical theater, serving as a teacher, stage director, and musical director in prestigious institutions like the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) Young Conservatory. Her career spans decades of teaching, directing, and performing, marked by critical acclaim and awards.

She has contributed to soundtracks and recordings such as Medicine Melodies (2012) and the Hellboy soundtrack (2004).

As a teaching artist at ACT, she has mentored young performers, co-directed ensembles, and led world premiere musicals. Her collaborations span diverse institutions, including Lamplighters Music Theatre, Island City Opera, and the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival.
