Dr. Doyle Ott is a Professor in Theater Arts & Dance at Sonoma State University, teaching acting, circus skills, and directing productions including recent musicals Sweeney Todd and Candide. A professional dramaturg and scholar, his research explores circus-theater fusion in works like Shakespearean adaptations and Alice in Wonderland.
As Artistic Director of Children's Fairyland, he created the Bay Area's first Theatre for the Very Young. He holds a PhD in Theatre (Arizona State) and is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner.
