Dr Lynsey Mitchell is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Strathclyde's Strathclyde Law School. She specializes in human rights law, women’s rights, and feminist legal theory. Her research focuses on narratives in law, particularly regarding reproductive rights in Scotland, and she has held roles such as Scotland Commissioner for the European Commission on Sexual Orientation Law and Deputy Examiner at University College London. Mitchell has received a SULI Fellowship (2023-2024) for her work on Scotland’s abortion law and led the 'Mainstreaming Women's Rights' project examining law school curricula. She is also the book review editor for Feminist Legal Studies.
