Lynne Joyrich is a Professor of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University, with affiliations in American Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Theater and Performance Studies. She co-edits the journal Camera Obscura and has authored influential works on television, gender, and queer theory. Her research spans film, television, cultural theory, and feminist studies, with a focus on media's role in constructing gender, sexuality, and identity.
