Lynne Coton is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire University within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences, Department of Midwifery. With a clinical background in obstetric and midwifery-led care, she specializes in obstetric emergency management, midwifery practice leadership, and public health. Her roles include Undergraduate Module Lead for 'Contemporary Midwifery Practice and Leadership' (Level 6), 'Public Health in Midwifery Practice' (Level 4), and 'Developing the Safe and Effective Midwife 6' (Level 5 clinical skills module).
- Educations: BSc (Hons) Midwifery, SLAiP Mentorship Level 6, Academic Professional Apprenticeship, PGCHPE, and currently pursuing MA Education.
Her research interests focus on improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through emergency preparedness and integrating public health principles into midwifery practice. She is a Nursing and Midwifery Council registrant, a member of the Royal College of Midwives, and holds a HEA Fellowship.
