Lynn Swift is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Programme Lead for the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice at the University of Sunderland. She transitioned from clinical practice to academia, holding roles such as Practice Placement Facilitator and Clinical Link Tutor. Her career spans over three decades in healthcare, including nursing in hospital and community settings, and as a Health Visitor. She joined Sunderland in 2018, contributing to pre-registration nursing education.
Education background: Qualified as a nurse in 1992, Health Visitor in 1998. Prior to academia, she worked in practice placement coordination at Northumbria University (2011–2018).
Teaching focuses on adult nursing, including the Dissertation module (NRS301). She emphasizes enhancing clinical education quality and student-practice integration.
