Lynn Jayne Ellison is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton Law School, Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. She serves as the Year Tutor for Level 6 of the LLB (Hons) programme and teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Litigation, Tort, and Practical Legal Skills. She has previously held leadership roles as course leader for the LLM Masters in Law, LLB (Hons), and the LLM Common Professional Examination. She has taught on international programmes in Mauritius and contributed to CPD distance learning materials.

Lynn Ellison's research focuses on criminal law theory and pedagogic research in legal education. Her work examines the language of feedback, assessment design, online teaching challenges, and doctrinal issues in criminal law, particularly concerning dishonesty and domestic violence. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, reflecting her commitment to teaching excellence.
Her recent publications reveal a strong trend in both criminal law doctrine and innovations in legal pedagogy, especially in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. She frequently collaborates with Dawn Jones on studies about assessment, feedback, and the student experience in law programmes.

Lynn has played a significant role in curriculum development and assessment reform.
