معرفی
Lynn Dover is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Microbiology at Northumbria University, where he has contributed to developing MSc programs in Biotechnology and Microbiology. His research focuses on bacterial pathogenesis, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and the development of biomedical materials with antimicrobial properties. He holds a BSc in Applied Biology from Sunderland Polytechnic (1990) and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Hull (1995).
His academic career includes post-doctoral research on mycobacterial infections, such as tuberculosis, and the role of iron acquisition in bacterial pathogenicity. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (2018) and the Institute of Biomedical Science (2016). His work spans interdisciplinary collaborations in materials science to create antimicrobial surfaces for clinical and industrial use.
Key research areas include microbial genomics, surface engineering for antimicrobial coatings, and the application of advanced materials in infection control. His publications highlight innovations in thin-film technologies, laser-textured metals, and synthetic chelators targeting bacterial growth.
