Lyndsay Munro is a Teaching Professor and General Chemistry Coordinator at the Department of Chemistry, University of Nevada, Reno. She specializes in chemical education, general chemistry, and inorganic chemistry. Her roles include coordinating the general chemistry laboratory program, supervising graduate teaching assistants, and advising undergraduate majors.
Dr. Munro holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of West Florida (2006) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Nevada (2013).
Her research interests focus on enhancing teaching methodologies and laboratory program development in chemistry education. She has received prestigious teaching awards, including the LeMay Award (2017), F. Donald Tibbitt's Distinguished Teacher Award (2022), and the Alan Bible Teaching Excellence Award (2023).
Munro actively contributes to the department through undergraduate advising and mentorship of teaching assistants.
