Lyndal Trevena

Lyndal Trevena is a Professor Emerita at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. A General Practitioner and specialist in evidence-based medicine, she has held leadership roles including Associate Dean (International) and Head of General Practice. Her research focuses on decision aids, shared decision-making, and preventive health, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications and $22M in research funding. She contributes pro bono care at the Asylum Seekers Centre.

Education: MBBS (Hons), MPhilPH, PhD.

Research Interests: Evidence-based medicine, global health, primary care, and preventive strategies. Key areas include decision support tools for patients (e.g., cancer screening, vaccination), healthcare equity, and improving clinician-patient communication.
