Lynda Monick-Isenberg is an Adjunct Faculty member at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), with a background as a former full-time professor. She holds an MA from the University of Minnesota and a BA from St. Catherine University. Post-retirement from full-time academia in 2020, she continues as a teaching artist, engaging communities across ages. Her artistic practice spans drawing, installation, and fiber art, with over 100 tapestries commissioned nationally. Notable projects include a silk Chuppah for a wedding, integrating Hebrew names and gold inlay, reflecting her philosophy on art’s emotional and humanistic connections.
Her consultancy and teaching collaborations include COMPAS, Minnesota State Arts Board, Perpich Center for Arts Education, and institutions like the Kennedy Center. She specializes in creative aging initiatives and teaching artist trainings through organizations such as CommonBond Affordable Housing and Lifetime Arts. Her work emphasizes aesthetic integrity, purpose, and community engagement.
