Lyn Wright Fogle

Lyn Wright Fogle is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Memphis, serving as Applied Linguistics Coordinator. She holds a B.A. from Emory University (1995), M.A. from American University (2002), and Ph.D. from Georgetown University (2009). Her research focuses on bilingualism/multilingualism, language policy, and sociocultural dimensions of language learning, employing discourse analysis and language socialization frameworks.

Key research interests include family language dynamics, language and kinship relations, and intersections of sexuality with language acquisition. Publications include monographs like Critical perspectives on language and kinship in multilingual families (2020) and edited volumes on diverse family language policies.
