Lyle Turner

Lyle Turner is an Honorary Senior Fellow working with the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH), where he manages the Data and Research Unit. His responsibilities include patient EMR training and support, delivering analytic and business intelligence services across the IUIH network, and facilitating research partnerships. Dr. Turner has over ten years of experience in health research, with a focus on using routinely collected health data to inform health service delivery, policy, and research.

Dr. Turner's research interests center on Indigenous health, health data analytics, and biostatistics. His work spans chronic disease management, primary-acute care relationships, clinical guideline implementation, and examining health impacts of environmental factors including temperature extremes, air pollution, and natural disasters. He previously served as lead biostatistician for the Monash East Melbourne General Practice Database (MAGNET), establishing research infrastructure for examining healthcare delivery systems.
