Lydia Morris Fettig (she/her/hers) is a Lecturer and Academic Advisor at the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). She has dedicated the last 25 years to advising students and teaching academic writing courses with interdisciplinary themes such as animals, deviance, and conceptions of self and other. For Prospective Students, she is associated with the Honors Program, offering opportunities like the Sophomore Honors Award and Summer Fellowships.
- Education: BS in General Studies from Portland State University; MFA in Creative Writing from American University.
Lydia’s teaching integrates social science and creative writing, reflecting her diverse background in social science, creative writing, and her earlier work as a parole and probation agent.
Notable personal achievements include publications in her creative writing field, specifically through Rude Girl Press, Gargoyle Magazine, and Abundant Grace. She is actively involved in the Honors Community, offering thesis assistance and advising on Honors Majors.
Lydia resides in Ann Arbor, MI, and her personal interests include napping with her pets, walking with neighbors, dining out with friends, movies with her teenagers, and traveling with her husband.
