Lydia Mechtenberg is a Full Professor of Political Economy at the University of Hamburg since 2023. She serves as spokesperson for the DFG Research Unit 'Big Structural Change' (BISC) since 2025 and acts as Principal Investigator for the EU-funded DEMOS project (1 billion HUF grant). Her roles span research, teaching, and leadership in experimental economics and political economy.
