Lydia Greer is an Assistant Professor in the Animation Program at California College of the Arts (CCA). She is an interdisciplinary visual artist, filmmaker, and animator, leading the Facing West Shadows collective, which merges shadow casting with contemporary art forms to address socio-environmental themes. Her work combines old and new technologies in installations, film, and performance art.

Research & Creative Work:
Greer's practice focuses on experimental animation, hybrid art, and environmental narratives. Notable projects include a 9-channel cinematic installation The Endless End (2022) addressing species extinction in the Anthropocene. She has exhibited at institutions like the Exploratorium Museum, Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, and international festivals in Brazil, Prague, and Cyprus.

Teaching Experience:
