Lydia Allen is a Lecturer in the Writing and Rhetoric (WRTR) department at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and serves as Director of the Writing Center. She has been at SMU since 2017, teaching courses such as WRTR 1313 Critical Reasoning and developing innovative curricula like DISC 1313 Writing for STEM Majors. She also supports the ECE 3311/7322 Engineering Solid State Devices course. As Writing Board member, she advises faculty on writing proficiency requirements.
