Luuk de Boer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal Methods at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Law. His work bridges legal theory and practice, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to legal methodology, sovereignty, and institutional violence. He holds a PhD in Classics and Interdisciplinary Humanities from Princeton University and has held visiting fellowships at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris and Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa.

Teaching: Courses include Law and Legal Skills: the Dutch Example, Legal Research Skills, and Introduction to Legal Philosophy. He supervises BA/MA theses focusing on legal theory and historical jurisprudence.
Media Engagement: Regularly provides expert commentary on sovereign citizen movements, legal theory, and institutional critique for Dutch media outlets.
