Luke W. Miratrix is an Associate Professor of Education at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education (HGSE), with a joint affiliation in the Department of Statistics. He serves as Co-Faculty Director of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education Program. His research focuses on applying modern statistical methods to social science contexts, particularly causal inference in education and policy evaluations.
Education: Ph.D. in Statistics (UC Berkeley, 2012), M.S. in Computer Science (MIT), B.S. in Computer Science (Caltech), B.A. in Mathematics (Reed College). Prior to academia, he taught high school for seven years.
Research emphasizes causal analysis, treatment heterogeneity, text data summarization, and criminal justice reform. His work includes developing methodologies for cluster-randomized trials and high-dimensional data analysis.

Awards: 2019 Warren Miller Prize (Political Methodology), 2019 SREE Early Career Award.
He leads the Miratrix C.A.R.E.S. Lab, dedicated to causal inference research and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The lab also prioritizes anti-racist practices in quantitative research.
