معرفی
Dr. Luke Rhodes is a Research Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the University of St Andrews' School of Physics and Astronomy. His research focuses on electronic structure characterization in quantum materials, with particular emphasis on superconductivity, Van Hove singularities, and moiré systems. He employs advanced techniques like scanning tunneling microscopy and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy to probe novel electronic phenomena.
Key research interests include understanding the interplay between spin-orbit coupling, electronic correlations, and structural effects in materials such as Sr₂RuO₄ and Sr₃Ru₂O₇. He has pioneered studies on engineered electronic states in two-dimensional systems and their implications for quantum phase transitions.
Dr. Rhodes has advised at least one PhD student, Seohyun Kong. His work has led to significant contributions in understanding the electronic nematicity in layered ruthenates and the stabilization of superconducting phases under structural modifications. Collaborations with international teams highlight his role in advancing experimental condensed matter physics.
