Dr Luke Rhodes-Leader is a Lecturer in Management Science at the Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), Lancaster University. His research specializes in simulation within Operational Research, focusing on decision-making through simulation optimization, multi-fidelity modeling, and digital twin evaluation. He collaborates with industry partners like Rolls-Royce and academic institutions including Northwestern University. Current teaching includes STOR606 (Stochastic Simulation), MSCI223 (Business Modelling), and MSCI512 (Simulation & Stochastic Modelling).
His PhD (STOR-i CDT) investigated airline disruption management via simulation optimization. He supervises PhD students in simulation methodologies and real-world applications, currently advising Graham Burgess and Harry Newton. Notable projects include the DSI: CMMI-EPSRC initiative addressing self-organizing manufacturing digital twins.
Research affiliations include the Centre for Transport & Logistics (CENTRAL) and STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training. Recent activities include presenting at the 2023 Simulation Workshop and the Winter Simulation Conference 2023.
