معرفی
Dr. Luke Jackson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Durham University. He previously held post-doctoral positions at the National Oceanography Centre (2013–2015) and Climate Econometrics, Nuffield College, Oxford University (2015–2020). He has undertaken consulting roles for the Rockefeller Foundation (climate change impacts in Pacific Islands) and Pictet Group (climate risks in emerging markets).
Research Focus
His research examines multi-scale sea-level dynamics and climate impacts, including:
- Historical, modern, and projected sea-level variability
- Coastal adaptation frameworks and management strategies
- Quantification of anthropogenic climate effects
- Probabilistic modeling of vertical land motion
Publication Trends
Recent articles analyze climate risks through computational modeling and regional case studies, focusing on sea-level projections, coastal vulnerability, and urbanization impacts. Work emphasizes practical applications for environmental resilience.
Advising
Currently supervising Emmy Martin (Master of Research) in climate-related geography topics.
