Luke Graham is a Lecturer in Law (Public Law & Human Rights) at the University of Manchester Law School, serving as Course Director for Public Law and Constitutional Reform. He holds a PhD from Lancaster University (2021) and previously taught at Coventry University (2020–2021). His research focuses on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCRs), poverty/destitution, and the right to clothing. He is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE (since 2019) and a Fellow of Advance HE (since 2022).
Education: BA Law (Lancaster, 2016), LLM International Human Rights Law (Lancaster, 2017), PhD Law (Lancaster, 2021), Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (Coventry, 2022).
Research interests include the socio-economic dimensions of civil/political rights, poverty's intersection with human rights, and the right to clothing. He currently supervises PhD projects on topics like global constitutionalism, ESCR recognition, and food poverty responsibility.
External roles include Visiting Lecturer at University of Hamburg (since 2023) and External Examiner at University of Hertfordshire (since 2023). He has contributed to 3 UN Sustainable Development Goals related to poverty reduction and education.
