Lukasz Pawelek, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Spanish and German in the Department of Humanities at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. He teaches courses ranging from beginner German (GERM B101, GERM B102) and Spanish (SPAN B101, SPAN B102) to advanced topics like SPAN B407 (Literary Tendencies and Masterpieces of Spanish America II).

Lukasz co-founded the annual Gateway to Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies Conference and established the Polyphony Research Group, which engages students in undergraduate research, community service, and conference presentations.
