معرفی
Lukas Schoug is a Research Fellow in Mathematics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. His research is funded by a Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) starting grant. He is an active member of the Random Matrix Theory and Random Geometry research group at KTH and serves as one of the organizers of the KTH Probability and Mathematical Physics seminar.
Dr. Schoug obtained his PhD in mathematics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2019 under the supervision of Fredrik Viklund. He then pursued postdoctoral studies with Jason Miller at the University of Cambridge (2020-2022) followed by Eero Saksman at the University of Helsinki (2023-2024).
His research focuses on the geometry and regularity of Schramm-Loewner evolutions, Gaussian free fields, Liouville quantum gravity, conformal loop ensembles and imaginary multiplicative chaos, along with couplings between these mathematical objects. He also investigates geometric function theory and random growth models that lack conformal symmetries. Currently, he is organizing a reading group on Liouville conformal field theory for Spring 2025 and recently co-organized the Helsinki-Stockholm Probability and Mathematical Physics Days workshop at Nordita in November 2024.
Dr. Schoug maintains strong professional connections with leading researchers including his PhD supervisor Fredrik Viklund at KTH, Jason Miller at Cambridge, and Eero Saksman at Helsinki. His work sits at the intersection of complex analysis, probability theory, and mathematical physics, contributing to foundational understanding of random conformal geometry.
