Amanda Turner

Amanda Turner is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster University. Her research focuses on Probability, particularly using conformal mappings and Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) to study random growth processes. She teaches undergraduate and master’s courses in Probability, Measure Theory, and Stochastic Processes.

Her research includes projects on regularized Hastings-Levitov clusters, as detailed in collaborations with Alan Sola and Fredrik Johansson Viklund. Simulations of these clusters, parameterized by α and σ values, explore small particle limits in Laplacian random growth models. Turner is actively involved in supervising PhD students and welcomes applications from candidates with backgrounds in Probability, Real or Complex Analysis, or Mathematical Physics. Her work also involves analyzing harmonic measure flows and capacity sequences in growth models.
