Lukas Gerstweiler

Dr. Lukas Gerstweiler is a Lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on advancing biomanufacturing processes, particularly continuous bioprocessing, downstream purification techniques, and virus-like particle (VLP) technology. He explores novel chromatography methods using porous co-polymers and mechanistic modeling to optimize biomolecule separation. His work aims to enhance efficiency in producing biotherapeutics, recombinant proteins, and vaccines.
