Lukas Babor

Lukas Babor is a Project Assistant at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer, Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), since 2022. Previously, he was a University Assistant at the same institute from 2018 to 2022. His research focuses on computational fluid mechanics, particularly in thermocapillary flows and chaotic advection.

• Education: MSc in Thermal Power and Fluids Engineering (The University of Manchester, 2016-2017), BSc in Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering (Brno University of Technology, 2013-2017).

His work investigates thermocapillary flows, Marangoni convection, and linear stability analysis, often employing numerical simulations. Recent studies include mixed convection flows and particle accumulation structures in fluid systems.

Lukas is affiliated with the Research Unit of Numerical Fluid Mechanics at TU Wien. His publications highlight interdisciplinary applications in computational fluid dynamics and dynamical systems.
