Luka Grbović is a junior research assistant at the Department of Hydroecology and Water Protection within the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", affiliated with the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. He is pursuing his doctoral studies in Algology at the Faculty of Biology since 2024, mentored by Dr. Jelena Krizmanić and Dr. Božica Vasiljević.
- Education: Graduate (2020) and Master (2021) in Biology and Zoology modules at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade.
Research interests include phycology, hydroecology, diatom taxonomy, and biomonitoring of aquatic ecosystems. His work focuses on biodiversity dynamics, functional ecology, and climate change responses in freshwater environments, particularly in periphyton and the Sava River Basin.
