Luise Eder is a DPhil (PhD) candidate in Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford's Centre for Socio-Legal Studies and an affiliate of Exeter College. Her research focuses on transnational AI governance initiatives and their impact on national policies in the Global South, particularly examining how global regulatory principles shape local contexts. She also serves as a Research Assistant to Prof. Jeremias Adams-Prassl.

- MSc in Social Anthropology (University of Oxford)
Research Interests: Luise investigates the dynamics of global-local regulatory interactions in AI governance, including the influence of transnational actors like the GDPR and DSA on policy-making in Africa. Her work also addresses technology governance in conflict zones (e.g., Ethiopia’s internet shutdowns), inequalities in social media moderation, and Western advocacy campaigns for internet access.
