Luisa Whittaker-Brooks

Luisa Whittaker-Brooks is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Utah, specializing in materials chemistry, nanotechnology, and optoelectronics. She obtained her BS from the University of Panama (2005) and PhD from SUNY Buffalo (2011), followed by postdoctoral training at Princeton University's Chemical Engineering department (2014).

• Research Focus: Metal chalcogenides, perovskite solar cells, self-doping mechanisms, and ion transport in low-dimensional materials.
• Teaching: Supervises PhD thesis research and instructs General Chemistry Lab II and Solid-State Chemistry courses.

Her work includes 15 recent publications on topics like quaternary alloying for CO2 electroreduction, chirality transfer in semiconductors, and stability engineering in perovskite solar cells.
