Luis Gomez-Mejia is the Overby Chair of Leadership and Regents' Professor at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business, Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. He previously held faculty roles at Texas A&M University, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on international management, strategic management, executive compensation, and family businesses, with over 250 publications in top journals like the Academy of Management Journal and Strategic Management Journal.
Education: Ph.D. (1981), M.S. (1974), B.S. (1971) from the University of Minnesota, and A.S. (1970) from Miami-Dade Jr. College. His work bridges academia and industry, including consulting roles at IBM, DuPont, and Honeywell. He consistently ranks in the top 1% of economists and business researchers globally (Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers list).
Research interests include family firms, executive compensation strategies, corporate governance, and cross-cultural management.
