معرفی
Luigi Barletti is a Full Professor of Mathematical Physics at the University of Florence, where he serves as the Director of the "Ulisse Dini" Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He teaches Rational Mechanics in undergraduate programs in Management Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and Mathematical Methods for Applications in the graduate program in Mathematics. His academic career spans over two decades at the University of Florence, progressing from Assistant Professor (1999-2014) to Associate Professor (2014-2021) and ultimately to Full Professor (2021-present).
- PhD in Mathematics (1995-1998) under Prof. A. Belleni-Morante
- Postdoctoral fellowship at University of Florence (1998-1999)
- Assistant Professor (1999-2014)
- Associate Professor (2014-2021)
- Full Professor (2021-present)
Professor Barletti's research primarily focuses on the mathematical aspects of quantum mechanics and the mathematical modeling of physical and biological systems. His work spans classical, quantum and stochastic transport theory, quantum fluid dynamics, quantum boundary layer theory, nonlinear Schrödinger equation, decoherence theory, semigroup theory and evolution equations, and spin and charge transport in two-dimensional materials. His research has significant implications for understanding quantum systems, particularly in nanoscale electronics and graphene-based technologies.
Analysis of Barletti's recent publications (2019-2024) reveals a strong emphasis on quantum transport phenomena in novel materials like graphene, with applications to nanoelectronics and spintronics. His work bridges theoretical mathematical physics with practical applications in semiconductor technology. A recurring theme is the development of mathematical models that accurately describe quantum phenomena while remaining computationally tractable for practical engineering applications. The research demonstrates sophisticated mathematical techniques applied to cutting-edge problems in condensed matter physics and nanotechnology.
