Dr. Ludovic Maisonneuve is a Researcher in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, affiliated with the Lehmann Group. His work bridges evolutionary biology and applied mathematics to study how evolutionary forces shape animal behavior, particularly focusing on mate preferences and social behaviors. He holds a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from Sorbonne Université (2019-2022) and a postdoc position since 2022 under Prof. Laurent Lehmann.
Education includes an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris-Saclay (2018-2019) and a diploma from École Polytechnique (2015-2019). His research emphasizes mathematical modeling to explore topics such as sexual selection, reproductive interference, and the evolution of disassortative mating. He has contributed to understanding the interplay between adaptation and mating preferences, as well as the dynamics of cultural evolution through teaching and learning processes.
Publications highlight his interdisciplinary approach, addressing aposematism origins, Müllerian mimicry effects, and the coevolution of learning schedules. His work spans theoretical models in ecology, genetics, and behavioral studies, with applications to biodiversity and evolutionary trade-offs.
