Ludovic Gremaud

Ludovic Gremaud is a Full Professor at the Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture, part of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO). His work focuses on organic chemistry, process engineering, and sustainable chemical production methods. He leads research in mechanochemistry, photochemical synthesis, and asymmetric synthesis, with applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing and green chemistry.

His primary research interests include Mechanochemistry, LED-mediated photochemical reactions, Process scale-up, Asymmetric synthesis, and Green chemistry methodologies. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to developing environmentally sustainable chemical processes that eliminate or minimize solvent use, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall process efficiency.
